Mummy and daddy love you...
Seraphine... Mummy and daddy know you are in a better place now. Mummy and daddy just want to say thank you for the time you have spent with mummy and daddy. Though it may seem short, it has been a very wonderful time. Mummy and daddy feel very honoured to have you as our daughter. Mummy and daddy wish that we could spend even more time together. Mummy and daddy wish circumstances were different. Still, we are happy to be able to see you, touch you, kiss you and hug you before you left for a better place...
Seraphine means an angel, just like how you will always be mummy and daddy's angel. And like all angels, mummy and daddy know you have a kind heart and gentle soul. Ern (恩) means gratitude, a reminder to mummy and daddy that we should be grateful to everyone and for everything.
We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to our family and friends. We are touched by the concern shown and all the prayers offered, even from the very beginning when Seraphine was diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. Our apologies for not being able to personally reply to everyone of you. We have a request... It is believe that for the next 49 days, the departed will still be able to receive all prayers dedicated to them. If this is really so, we would appreciate if you can continue to pray for our lovely Seraphine. Besides family and friends, I am also grateful to my present employer for understanding my situation.
Special thanks also goes out to the team of doctors, nurses, attendants, etc at UMMC and UMSC who had made our journey, even right from the beginning, a wonderful and memorable one. We know everyone, especially the Paediatric Intensive Care team headed by Professor Lucy Lum, have done their best for Seraphine and we will be eternally grateful for that.
This is not something anyone would wish for, but mummy and daddy know and understand that everything happens for a good reason. Seraphine, mummy and daddy will always love you...
Seraphine Tai Ern
